Association of Bulgarian Archaeologists (ABA) is a non-profit association of professional archaeologists, working for the benefit of society. It has more than 200 members working in various institutions such as the National Archaeological Institute with Museum (Bulgarian Academy of Sciences), Universities and Museums in Bulgaria.

ABA publishes the Bulgarian e-Journal of Archaeology (Be-JA) which aims to extend the dissemination of available archaeological information.

ABA was established in 2008 with the aim of aiding the discovery, investigation, preservation and popularization of the Bulgarian archaeological heritage that is an inseparable part of the world cultural heritage. The founding principles and activities of ABA are laid out in its statutes. The organization aspires to stimulate the development of archaeological investigations by outlining and requiring high professional standards. ABA strives to support professional training and further education in the area of archaeological studies, as well as to defend the rights and interests of archaeologists in Bulgaria. An important aspect of ABA activities is the pro-active participation of its members in the preparation and discussion of advisory regulations concerning the cultural-historical heritage of the Republic of Bulgaria. ABA is actively seeking to cooperate with similar organizations and recognizes the EAA as a like-minded strategic partner in the common goal of the improvement of professional standards in archaeological practice, as well as the preservation and popularization of cultural heritage.
